The pool swim uses one-way lane traffic to allow overtaking, and participants must enter feet first, no diving. Timing is done with an ankle RFID chip that must be returned after the event.
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; participants must hold an annual membership or purchase a one-day membership.
