Anthem Sprint Triathlon : Anthem Community Center
The Anthem Sprint Triathlon is a reverse-order sprint triathlon held at the Anthem Community Center in Anthem, AZ. The race sequence is run, bike, then pool swim. The adult distance is a 3.1 mile run followed by a 20 km bike and a pool swim. A youth division runs shorter distances for children.
The adult run is an out-and-back course on sidewalks covering approximately 5 km. The bike course is three loops totaling 20 km with a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicles; helmets are required. The pool swim is completed in two swim cycles using a lane-based, one-way system to allow overtaking and orderly traffic in each lane.
Racer amenities include a long sleeve hoodie, post-race refreshments, finisher medals for all participants, and awards for top finishers. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, age group top threes in standard age bands, and category awards such as Clydesdales, Athenas, and relay top threes. Kid’s awards are given to top boys and girls.
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; participants must hold an annual membership or purchase a one day membership. Registration fees increase in tiers; adult, youth, and relay entry fees range by deadline.
