Anthem Sprint Triathlon : Anthem, AZ
The Anthem Sprint Triathlon is a reverse-order sprint triathlon held at the Anthem Community Center. The adult course consists of a 5 km out-and-back run on sidewalks, a 20 km bike route completed in three loops with a designated bike lane separating cyclists from traffic, and a pool swim that closes the race. Helmets are required on the bike route. The kid’s race uses shorter distances on the same general roads and pool.
Distances:
- Adult: Run 5 km, Bike 20 km, Swim 400 m pool swim
- Kids: Run 0.5 mile, Bike 4.5 miles, Swim 200 m pool swim
Timing is performed with RFID equipment and participants wear ankle timing chips that must be returned after the event. The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; participants must hold an annual membership or purchase a one-day membership as required by USA Triathlon. Racer amenities include a long sleeve hoodie, post-race refreshments, finisher medals for all participants, and awards for top finishers by category. Awards are given to top three male and female overall finishers and to age group podiums, with additional categories for Clydesdales, Athenas, and relay teams. Parking is centered at the Anthem Community Center with overflow parking at Anthem Community Park using provided coordinates.
