The Indianapolis Aruna Run is a charity 5K held at The Fowling Warehouse, 1125 E Brookside Ave, Indianapolis, IN. The event is part of the Aruna Run Race Series and directs registration fees and additional donations to the Aruna Project, an international nonprofit supporting survivors of human trafficking.
Event features include packet pickup opportunities the day before at two locations and pickup on race day. Parking is available in the lot across from The Fowling Warehouse. Registered participants are invited to an after party in the warehouse with free fowling, food, and a Kids Zone that includes a bounce house.
Swag for the event includes an Aruna Beach Bag produced by Aruna Artisans and a District Tri-Blend tee in Army Green. Registrants who register by August 30 are guaranteed a race t-shirt and size. Awards include a handmade Aruna Dopp Kit and a $50 Aruna Shop gift card for the top male and top female finishers and the top fundraiser, plus age-bracket awards for 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and older.
The event supports team fundraising incentives and individual fundraising rewards, with statements that a majority of funds support Training Centers in Southeast Asia where women receive meals, counseling, and skills training. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
