IU Indianapolis Jaguar 5K
The IU Indianapolis Jaguar 5K is a run and walk event held in downtown Indianapolis. The course is situated on the IU Indianapolis campus, with the race starting and ending at Carroll Stadium. The event is open to students, employees, and community members.
Participants can choose between two event options:
- Jaguar 5K (Timed)
- Jaguar 5K (Not Timed)
The race is professionally timed, and results are made available after the event. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female runners in the youth category. All finishers in both the timed and untimed categories receive a commemorative race medal. A participation shirt is also provided to those who register before the designated cutoff date.
The event serves as a fundraiser for addiction recovery scholarships for students, held in observation of National Recovery Month. These scholarships support individuals in recovery from substance use and behavioral addictions through the university's Collegiate Recovery Community program.
Packet pickup is scheduled for the week of the race at locations such as the IU Indianapolis Campus Center. Campus parking is available for participants at standard rates, though it is not included in the registration fee.
