Indian Ladder Farms Spiked Apple 5k - May 16, 2026
The event takes place at Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont, NY and features a 5K Run/Walk plus a Volunteer and Run option. The farm was founded in 1916 and covers over 60 acres of orchards with more than 40 varieties of apples. Indian Ladder Farms offers seasonal pick‑your‑own berries, apples and pumpkins, plus educational programs, tours, and public and private events.
Race entries are chip timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online. Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a bottle opener, a chip timed race bib, a homemade cider donut and a pour of cider. Free finisher photos will be available after the race.
The event awards top three male and female finishers in ten age categories: 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over. Age group pins are available for pickup the day of the event and must be collected at the registration table. Packet pickup is scheduled on race day starting one hour before the event.
The race proceeds in rain or shine unless severe weather forces a delay. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but not a cider glass or pour. Only service dogs are permitted on site. A virtual participation option is available and packets can be shipped for an additional fee.
