Independence Day 5k and 1 mile : Bradenton, FL
This event offers two running distances at 10299 9th Ave NW, Bradenton, Florida. It is part of a four-race series that also includes the Flag Day Run, Labor Day Run, and Veterans Mile. Participation in three of the four races in the series earns a commemorative medal, free breakfast at each run, and a 30 percent discount for the Ugly Sweater Run in December.

Each runner receives snacks, refreshments, and a t-shirt. Organizers will recognize the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Listed age groups include under 24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus.
Registration opens in February 2026 and closes on the event date in July 2026. Registration fees are listed as forty dollars for the 5k and thirty two dollars for the 1 mile entry. A guided stretch session is scheduled thirty minutes before the race, and there is an opportunity to meet the race director before the event.
