Ilkley Triathlon
The Ilkley Triathlon is a club run sprint distance event organised by Leeds & Bradford Triathlon Club and held annually at Ilkley Pool and Lido. The event has been held since 1992 and has received national recognition, including multiple Race of the Year awards and high place nominations. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday, September 20th.

The swim takes place in the indoor pool with extra wide lanes. The bike is three laps of a 4.8 km circuit and the run is one lap of the same circuit. The route follows Denton Road, Carter Lane, Curly Hill and Middleton Road; the first mile is flat, the second uphill and the third mile downhill. Roads are not closed but are described as very quiet lanes and normal road rules apply. Helmets are mandatory and crossing into the opposite carriageway is an automatic disqualification.
Facilities include full catering, changing rooms and showers, a dedicated off street car park and a goodie bag. The event is chip timed. Entry prices listed are Adult £42, Junior £21 and Team £42. A British Triathlon Federation race pass is required by non BTF members. Refunds are offered until 23 August 2026 with specified fees.
