About the race
The IHS Group Charity 5K Run/Walk is a community running event in Oyster Bay, NY held on September 12 and organized to benefit Daughters of Mary, Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America, and Life Center of Long Island. The event proceeds include a main 5K and a Kids Fun Run, and it is scheduled to run rain or shine. Registration is not yet open.

Amenities listed for participants include a T-shirt, one free beer voucher, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and a post-race after-party at Oyster Bay Brewing Co. with music, food, and drinks. Participants who register at least three weeks in advance may receive a personalized bib.
Awards recognize the top male and female overall finishers and top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 18 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+. The event page notes free entry into next year’s 5K.
On-site logistics indicate bib pickup and day-of registration available near the start line, with a bib number required for pickup; last-minute registrants are reported to receive a bib number by text within about 90 seconds. Public restrooms are available at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and at the Oyster Bay Brewery. Parking is available at the park, the Oyster Bay LIRR station, the brewery, and on local streets.
