Event details

I Can 5k is a 5-kilometer community run scheduled for October 3, 2026 in Thornton, Colorado. The event takes place at Carpenter Park Fields, 108th Ave and Colorado Blvd, Thornton, CO 80233. Registration is free. The course is clearly marked and staffed by volunteers; the run is timed and includes awards based on performance as well as random prize drawings. Parking near the start is available.

Charity and fundraising

Each registered participant is also a fundraiser and selects one of three local charity partners: Womens Wilderness, Growing Home, or Volunteers in Action. The event lists three corresponding entries: I Can Empower Women, I Can Support Families, and I Can Serve My Neighbor. Fundraising totals contribute toward SWAG rewards and other prizes.

SWAG rewards and prizes

SWAG reward levels are tied to fundraising thresholds. Level 1 at $50 earns an event water bottle. Level 2 at $120 adds an event T-shirt. Level 3 at $255 adds a $40 gift voucher for a 3W Races event. Level 4 at $475 adds a choice of Belong Designs fleece top. Level 5 at $875 adds a $150 gift card to Road Runner Sports, along with the other items listed at lower levels.
