Run for the Home Team 5k - Waldschänke Ciders, Denver
Run for the Home Team is a 5k event on September 19, 2026 that starts and ends at Waldschänke Ciders + Coffee in Denver. The event is organized by the Colorado Brewery Running Series and is described as an untimed, fun run where walkers, joggers, and runners share an open course. The route is created to begin and finish at the cidery and will be marked with arrows and staffed by volunteers.
Participants who complete the course receive one free craft cider from Waldschänke Ciders; attendees must be 21 to consume alcohol and underage registrants receive a token for a non-alcoholic beverage. Each participant also receives a choice of a collector’s pint glass or a seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series. The event features live music, games, partner and sponsor activities, opportunities to win prizes, and on-site merchandise such as shirts, hoodies, hats, stickers, and drinkware.
The course is open to normal traffic and participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws. Dogs and strollers are permitted on the course with care and caution, and there will be no bag check. Public parking is available and public transit may be an option. The event runs rain or shine, a portion of proceeds supports local nonprofits, and refunds are allowed up to seven days before the event.
