Run for the Home Team 5k at Waldschänke Ciders + Coffee
Run for the Home Team is a 5k event on September 19, 2026, that begins and ends at Waldschänke Ciders + Coffee in Denver. The event is organized by the Colorado Brewery Running Series and is presented as an untimed, fun run where participants may walk, jog, or run the course. The route is created to showcase the surrounding neighborhood and will be marked with arrows and volunteers.
All participants receive one free craft cider at the finish from Waldschänke Ciders, and a choice of a collector’s pint glass or a seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series. There is also a chance to win prizes and access to event festivities such as live music, games, and vendor goodies. Colorado Brewery Running Series merchandise will be available at the event.
This is an open course; roads will not be closed and participants are expected to obey traffic laws. The event is rain or shine. Attendees must bring valid identification to receive alcoholic cider; registered underage participants receive a token for a non alcoholic beverage. Dogs and strollers are permitted on the course with care and caution. There will not be a bag check. Public parking is available and public transit may be an option in the area.
A portion of event proceeds supports local nonprofit organizations. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event. Registration is limited by taproom capacity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
