HY-LLOWEEN HYBRID RACE
The HY-LLOWEEN Hybrid Race is a themed mini HYROX race held in person at Conroy Field, 3039-3057 Conroy Road, Ottawa, ON K1G 6C9. The format combines running laps with functional fitness stations and includes Halloween-themed variations.
Participants complete five 500 m laps, each paired with a functional fitness station. The event is described as a high-energy workout expected to take under an hour to complete. Functional fitness stations include:
- 100m Pumpkin Lunges (doubles share the distance)
- 100m Crawl (doubles share the distance)
- Halloween Ring Toss (doubles share the challenge)
- 50x Mummy Squats (doubles both complete all squats)
- 100m Burpee Broad Jump (doubles share the distance)
Ticket options and extras are specified: Singles Ticket $25.00, Doubles Ticket $50.00, and an optional T-Shirt $10.00. All tickets include a BBQ lunch consisting of a burger or hot dog and a beverage. A refund policy allows refunds up to 7 days before the event. The event is for ages 15 and up and offers free parking.
Prizes will be awarded for top finishers and creative participants in categories including First Place Singles, First Place Team Doubles, Best Costume Singles, and Best Team Costume Doubles. Volunteer opportunities are available. Proceeds are allocated with the first $700 going to the HYROX Global Health Fund and subsequent funds donated to The Royal.
