The Great Big Cookie Run
This event features two distances: a 5K and a 1K kids' run. It takes place on a Saturday in late October at Lansdowne Park.
The event is open to participants who run, walk, or roll. Girl Guides of Canada is the charity partner.
A sweet reward of Girl Guide cookies is given at the finish line. There is also a costume contest. Participants can choose a Green Bib option, which does not include a medal; a portion of that registration fee is donated to the charity.
Registration includes a personalized race bib, professional chip timing with results, post-race snacks and beverages, and a medal (unless opting for the Green Bib). Cookies are available on course and at the finish. Optional add-ons include a technical shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
