The Great Big Cookie Run
The Great Big Cookie Run takes place at Hog's Back Park on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 5 km
- Kids 1 km
Participants may run, walk, or roll. Small children in the Kids 1 km are welcome to have a parent accompany them on course. Professional race timing with chip time is provided. Post race snacks and beverages are available, and Girl Guide cookies are provided on course and at the finish.
Standard registration includes a Great Big Cookie Run medal unless the Green Bib option is selected. Participants registered before October 15 will have their names printed on their race bibs. Optional commemorative items include a technical shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger.
Girl Guides of Canada is the event charity partner. The Green Bib option does not include a medal and directs a portion of the registration fee to the charity partner. A costume contest with two prizes is held for both Run Ottawa members and general participants.
Race bib pickup is available Friday, October 23 at SAIL 175 Trainyards Drive and onsite at Hog's Back Park beginning at 7:45 am on race day. The route is to be announced and is subject to change. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
