The Great Big Cookie Run
The Great Big Cookie Run is an autumn community running event organized by Run Ottawa at Hog's Back Park on October 24, 2026. The event offers two distances and welcomes participants who run, walk, or roll the course.

Included with registration are a race medal unless the Green Bib option is chosen, a personalized race bib for entries completed before October 15, professional chip timing with results, and post-race snacks and beverages. Girl Guide cookies are available on course and at the finish. A Green Bib option omits the medal and directs a portion of the registration fee to the event charity partner, Girl Guides of Canada.
The event features a costume contest with two prizes open to Run Ottawa members and general participants. Optional add-ons include a technical event shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger. Race bib pickup is available the day before at SAIL 175 Trainyards Drive and onsite at Hog's Back Park on race day.
Route details are to be announced and are subject to change. Parking information notes a planned closure of Queen Elizabeth Driveway on the event date between 5th Avenue and Preston Street, with street parking available in the Lansdowne Park area.
