The Great Big Cookie Run
The Great Big Cookie Run is a Run Ottawa event taking place at Hog's Back Park on October 24, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 5 km
- 1 km (kids)
Girl Guides of Canada is the charity partner. Participants receive Girl Guide cookies on course and at the finish line. A costume contest awards two prizes: best costume adult and best costume kid. Small children in the 1 km are welcome to have a parent join them on the course.
Registration includes a Great Big Cookie Run medal unless the Green Bib option is selected, a personalized race bib for entries completed before October 15, professional race timing with chip time results, and post-race snacks and beverages. The Green Bib option makes a $5 donation to Girl Guides of Canada in lieu of a medal. Optional add-ons include a technical race shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger.
Race bib pickup is available at SAIL on Friday, October 23 (2:00 pm to 7:00 pm) and onsite at Hog's Back Park on race day beginning at 7:30 am. Parking at Hog's Back Park is limited; additional parking is listed at a Canada Post building and paid parking at Mooney's Bay. A course map is provided and the route is subject to change. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
