The Great Big Cookie Run
The Great Big Cookie Run takes place at Hog's Back Park on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event offers short distances and is open to participants who run, walk, or roll.

Children in the 1 km may be accompanied by a parent on the course. Girl Guides of Canada is the event charity partner. The Green Bib option does not include a medal; a portion of that registration fee is donated to the charity.
A costume contest will award two prizes and is open to Run Ottawa members and general participants. Included with registration are a race medal (unless choosing Green Bib), a personalized race bib for those registered before October 15, professional chip timing with results, post-race snacks and beverages, and Girl Guide cookies on course and at the finish. Optional add-ons include a technical shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger.
Race bib pickup is available at SAIL (175 Trainyards Dr, Ottawa) and onsite at Hog's Back Park on race day. The course route is to be announced and may change. Street parking is available near Lansdowne Park; Queen Elizabeth Driveway will be closed between 5th Avenue and Preston Street on the event date.
