Event Overview
The Huntley Historical Society Beer Mile is a fundraiser for the Huntley Historical Society. The event features an individual beer mile and a 4-person team relay. Participants must be at least 21 years old.
Format and Course
The event consists of a one-mile course run in four laps of a quarter-mile each. Participants drink a 12-ounce beer provided by the event before each lap. The course is a quarter-mile loop on a paved parking lot. Heats of no more than 16 participants start every 30 minutes. The event will be held rain or shine.
Race Day Details
Packet pickup starts at 1 PM on race day. Relay team heats begin first, with individual beer mile heats following later. Participants sign up for a specific heat during check-in. Food trucks will be on-site from 11 AM to 8 PM, and there will be live music from 6 PM to 8 PM. Raffles will also be held.
Awards and Registration
Awards are given for the top three male and female finishers, age group winners, the male and female DFL (Dead Freaking Last), and the top three relay teams plus DFL. Registration includes a t-shirt, custom bib, beer glass, finisher's medal, chip timing, and pictures. T-shirt availability after a certain date is not guaranteed.
