McHenry County Santa Run For Kids
The McHenry County Santa Run For Kids takes place on December 6, 2026 at the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 Mile fun run/walk, plus a separate kids 50 yard dash.

All 5K registrants receive a complete Santa shirt or a Santa outfit; additional shirts are available for $15. Pre-race packet pickup is available at Smith Physical Therapy + Running Academy on December 4 and December 5, with race day packet pickup at the Raue Center for the Arts.
Awards in the 5K include Top Overall Male and Top Overall Female, plus 1st–3rd place male and female age-group awards in categories from 14 and under, 15–19, 20–24 up through 80 and older. 1 Mile participants receive a finishers gift at the finish line.
Registration fees listed for the event include a 1 Mile entry at $18.04 and 5K entry prices that vary by registration period ($39.44 and $50.14 in the posted windows). Volunteer opportunities are listed and offered at no cost.
