The Kroc Center Bubble Fun 5K Run/Walk : Quincy, IL
The Kroc Center Bubble Fun 5K is a community running event presented by Nutrition HQ and held in Quincy, Illinois. The 5K course begins and finishes at The Salvation Army Kroc Center at 405 Vermont Street and continues through downtown Quincy. The course includes bubble stations that use hypoallergenic foam.
This is the fourth annual running of the event. All proceeds support the Kroc Center’s youth recreational and fitness programs to provide opportunities for children in the community. The event is organized as a rain or shine activity.
Organizers offer two packet pick up options: Friday, September 11 at the Kroc Center from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and the morning of the event at the Kroc Center before the run. Parking is available on nearby streets, in the city lot across from the Kroc Center, and at the Adams County Health Department lot; some lots are best accessed via specific entrances described by organizers.
After the run there are family oriented activities tied to the Kroc Center’s 15 year celebration, including bounce houses, food, and carnival games. Volunteers will be stationed along the route and some streets will be partially closed; participants should observe traffic controls and check intersections before crossing.
