The Kroc Center Bubble Fun 5K Run/Walk
The event is the fourth annual Kroc Bubble Fun 5K run and walk, presented by Nutrition HQ of Quincy. It takes place at The Salvation Army Kroc Center, 405 Vermont Street, Quincy, IL, and uses a course that passes through downtown Quincy. The start and finish are located at the Kroc Center.
Participants move through foam and bubble stations along the route. The event notes the bubble solution is hypoallergenic. Most streets on the route will be blocked to traffic, volunteers will be stationed along the course, and participants are asked to check surroundings at intersections that remain open.
Packet pick up is available in two options: Friday, September 11 at the Kroc Center from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, or Saturday, September 12 at the Kroc Center from 6:30 am to 7:00 am. Parking is available on 5th Street north and south of Vermont, in the city lot across from the Kroc Center, and at the Adams County Health Department lot.
The event is held rain or shine. Proceeds support the Kroc Center’s youth recreational and fitness programs. After the run and walk there are family activities such as bounce houses, food, and carnival games to mark the Kroc Center’s community anniversary.
