River to River Marathon
The River to River Marathon is a point to point endurance race held on May 1, 2027, across Pike County, Illinois. The course begins at the Mississippi River in Louisiana, Missouri and finishes at the Illinois River in Pearl, Illinois. The race base is listed in Rockport, Illinois.
The event distance is 25.5 Miles.
The course is routed through rural roads without loops or city streets. Organizers state the course design keeps vehicle traffic off the race path as much as possible and provides multiple access roads for exchange points.
Logistics are built around the point to point format. Solo runners are provided a shuttle bus to return to the start area after finishing. Relay teams may stage vehicles at exchange points, bring a non running driver to assist with runner movement, or follow the planned transport sequence in which the first leg runner is returned to the start area after completing Leg 1. Additional transportation and parking details will be provided closer to race day.
