Hudson Valley Triathlon
The Hudson Valley Triathlon is a USAT-sanctioned multi-sport event taking place in the Kingston area of New York. The competition features a variety of race formats, including individual triathlons, relays, aquabike, and duathlon options. The swimming portion is held in the spring-fed Williams Lake, followed by a cycling segment that travels toward the Ashokan Reservoir. The final running leg takes place on the historic Wallkill Valley Rail Trail.
Participants can choose from several distance categories:
- Open: 100 m swim, 2.1 mi bike, and 1 mi run.
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 12.4 mi bike, and 3.1 mi run.
- Olympic: 1500 m swim, 24.8 mi bike, and 6.2 mi run.
- Long Course: 1.2 mi swim, 54.9 mi bike, and 13.1 mi run.
The event site is located at 424 Williams Lake Road and is closed to the public until the day before the race. On-site parking is available for athletes and spectators, though vehicle access to the race sites is restricted between 7 am and 12:30 pm on race day for safety. Alternative parking is available at the Binnewater Kiln Parking Lot on Binnewater Road, located less than one mile from the main site.
