Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie's Red Suit Ramble
The Red Suit Ramble is an untimed holiday event taking place in Wappingers Falls on 12/16/2026. Participants meet outside Spins Bowl at 1677 US-9 in the parking lot. Registration is open from 10/30/2026 through 12/16/2026 and the fee is $15.00. Registration includes a full Santa suit; participants should bring comfortable shoes.
The event follows a route through town to view holiday lights. Organizers note that the run and walk occur on open roads with active traffic, so visibility gear such as lights, reflective vests, or blinking clips is required for all participants. The notice also asks people to consider traffic and supervision when bringing young children.
This year the Ramble will collect donations for Children's Home of Poughkeepsie. Items must be new and unwrapped and may include electronics such as disposable cameras, headphones, or batteries; games such as playing cards, puzzles, or board games; sporting equipment such as balls or gloves; room decor such as picture frames or blankets; art supplies such as coloring books and sketch pads; clothes such as hats, gloves, socks, or slippers; and bath and body items such as lotions or loofahs. No weapons or violent toys are accepted. Everyone who brings a donation item will be entered in a raffle for New Balance items. One hundred percent of donations will go to Children's Home of Poughkeepsie. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
