HRCA Wildcat Mountain Trail Races
The HRCA Wildcat Mountain Trail Races take place in Littleton, Colorado, at the Douglas County East/West Trailhead by Rocky Heights Middle School (11033 Monarch Blvd, Littleton, CO 80126). The event includes trail races on the Wildcat Mountain trails within the HRCA Backcountry Wilderness Area. Distances offered include:
- 10 miles
- 10K
- Kids’ races (age-based short distances)
Course, logistics and rules
The trail course is 100% dirt with rolling terrain and wide-open mountain views. The route follows the East/West Trail into the Backcountry and links directly to Wildcat Mountain trails. Aid stations on course will be stocked with water; runners are encouraged to bring their own hydration system to reduce waste. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course. The event may proceed in rain, sleet, or snow; it may be postponed if trails become unsafe due to excessive moisture.
The 10-mile race has a maximum finish time of 2 hours 30 minutes. The 10K has a maximum finish time of 1 hour 30 minutes. Free parking is available at Rocky Heights Middle School and Rock Canyon High School. A secure bag check will be provided at the start/finish area.
Entries and participant items
Adult registration includes a dry-fit race shirt, custom race bib, custom finisher medal, a pancake breakfast from Flippin' Flapjacks, and post-race beers from Living the Dream Brewing.
