HRCA Wildcat Mountain Trail Races : October 3, 2026

The HRCA Wildcat Mountain Trail Races take place in Littleton, CO (11033 Monarch Blvd, 80126) and include a 10-mile trail race, a 10K trail race, and a Kid's Race. The event is set in the HRCA Backcountry Wilderness Area and begins at the Douglas County East/West Trailhead at Rocky Heights Middle School, following the E/W Trail into the Wildcat Mountain trail system.

Course, conditions, and support

The course uses 100% dirt trails with rolling terrain and wide-open mountain views. Wildlife may be visible along the route. The race is scheduled to proceed in rain, sleet, snow, or shine; if excessive moisture makes trails unsafe or inaccessible, the event may be postponed. Aid stations will be available on course and stocked with water; runners are strongly encouraged to bring their own hydration to reduce waste.

Entry items, fees, and policies

Adult registration includes a dry-fit race t-shirt, custom race bib, custom finisher medal, pancake breakfast, and post-race beer. Current listed entry prices are: 10-mile $55 and 10K $45; the Kid's Race registration is $10. Time limits are enforced: the 10-mile race has a maximum finish time of 2 hours 30 minutes and the 10K has a maximum finish time of 1 hour 30 minutes. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course. A secure bag check is provided at the start/finish for registered participants.

Kids' races

Kids aged 0–12 participate in untimed fun races with distance by age group; each child receives a finisher medal. Distances by age: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
