Hotter N' Hell Trail Run
Hotter N' Hell Trail Run is a trail event at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL, centered at the Cedar Pavilion on the south end of Double Oak Lake. The event offers two distance options and is the fourth race in the Southeastern Trail Series.

The course includes climbs to the top of Double Oak Mountain and descents into Peavine Gorge, with a noted spot at Peavine Falls. Organizers add an extra aid station near Peavine Falls. They note heat as a factor on the course and advise runners to maintain fluids and electrolytes; use of Tailwind is mentioned as an option.
Logistics include packet pickup on the weekend at Mountain High Outfitters (2000 Oak Mountain Park Rd, Pelham, AL) and at the Cedar Pavilion at Oak Mountain State Park. Runners must enter the park through the South Gate near Interstate 65; the park charges a $5 per person entry fee. Parking is available in the large lot at the end of Terrace Drive in front of the Dogwood Pavilion.
Registration is limited to 300 runners for the HNH race, with a registration closing deadline of July 23 at 11:59 PM CT. The last day to register and be guaranteed a race shirt is July 7. Organizers warn the race may sell out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
