Hotter N' Hell Trail Run, Pelham AL

Hotter N' Hell is an organized trail running event held at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. The event is part of the Southeastern Trail Series and is organized by Southeastern Trail Runs. The course includes climbs to the top of Double Oak Mountain and descents into Peavine Gorge, with an aid station located near Peavine Falls.

The race starts at the Cedar Pavilion at the south end of Double Oak Lake. Parking is available in the large lot at the end of Terrace Drive in front of the Dogwood Pavilion. All participants must enter the park through the South Gate. Oak Mountain State Park charges a $5 per person entry fee.

Packet pickup is offered the evening before at Mountain High Outfitters near the park and at the Cedar Pavilion on race day. Registration has a participant limit of 300 for the main race and may close before shirt cutoff dates; the last day to register to be guaranteed a race shirt is July 7. Reported registration fees range from USD 78.46 to USD 96.00.
