Event overview
The Fourth Annual Hot Pursuit event takes place on April 18, 2026 in Liberty, SC at Pickens County Airport (240 Airport Road). The event includes a chip-timed run that starts and finishes on the airport taxiways and runway. A youth 1-mile Catch-A-Cop is open to children in 5th grade and younger; those participants chase law enforcement officers to collect flags and then join a police car parade back to the start area. All proceeds will go toward purchasing a wheelchair-accessible swing to be placed in Liberty, SC. The event is organized with involvement from Youth Leadership Academy, a charter middle school serving about 300 students in grades 6-8.
