Hot Pursuit 5K & 1 Mile Catch-A-Cop
The event features a chip-timed 5K run/walk and a separate 1-mile Catch-A-Cop race for children in 5th grade and younger. Both competitions are organized at the Pickens County Airport area and use taxiways and runway space for the course layout.

The kids' Catch-A-Cop has participants chase law enforcement officers to collect flags; after the race those children board police cars and return to the start area in a parade. Registration for the youth Catch-A-Cop is free for eligible children, with other children able to participate for a donation. Law enforcement officers have a separate registration reserved for LEOs and must list their affiliation.
All proceeds from the event will go toward purchasing a wheelchair-accessible swing to be placed in Liberty, SC. Youth Leadership Academy students will support fundraising and pledge collection as part of their community service work. Registration for the 5K includes timed entry, a race t-shirt, and a finishing medal; a t-shirt cutoff date is specified for entries received after that date.
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before and on the morning of the event at The Scoop at the Airport (155 Technology Place). Race parking, start/finish, and awards are located at the Cornell Dubilier / The Scoop at the Airport area on Technology Place rather than at the main airport terminal.
