Make-A-Wish South Carolina Trailblaze Challenge Trailfest
The Trailblaze Challenge Trailfest is an inaugural, daylong hiking event at Table Rock State Park on December 12, 2026, organized by Make-A-Wish South Carolina. The event presents multiple trail options and a finish-line celebration focused on fundraising for wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Trailfest offers three route choices:
- 22-Mile Route: a full-day Trailblaze experience across Table Rock trails and surrounding mountain terrain.
- 12-Mile Route: a mid-distance option with two start locations.
- 2-Mile Lake Loop Route: a family-friendly loop with support and celebration stations.
Each route includes participant support and fundraising resources such as training guidance, group training opportunities, gear, nutrition and navigation resources, fundraising tools, coaching and clinics, and connections to the local Trailblaze community. Trailfest participants also receive event swag, fundraising incentives, and opportunities related to the Trailfest celebration dinner and festival.
Pets and strollers are not allowed on the trail or on the 2 Mile Lake Loop Route. After the hikes, a celebration at Pinnacle Pavilion will feature wish inspiration, participant awards, music, games, community activities and Trailblazer-style experiences. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses seeking visibility and employee engagement. The traditional Trailblaze Challenge format will return in Spring 2027.
