GTC Paris Mountain Road Race
The GTC Paris Mountain Road Race is staged from Redeemer Presbyterian Church at 6150 Old Buncombe Rd, Greenville, SC. The event offers the following distances:
- 20K
- 10K
The 10K is a hilly loop around the base of Paris Mountain that starts and finishes at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. The course includes roughly 1500 feet of elevation gain over the 10K distance.
The 20K route ascends the north side of Paris Mountain, descends the south side, and returns via hilly back roads at the mountain base. The 20K accumulates over 2500 feet of vertical gain, contains 89 curves, and includes some sections with grades up to 15 percent. Participants in the 20K must be able to complete the distance within three hours, which corresponds to a minimum pace requirement of 14:29 per mile.
Strollers and dogs are not permitted in the Paris Mountain Road Races. This event is the final race in the Greenville Track Club Running Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
