San Francisco SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The event takes place in Golden Gate Park in January 2027 and offers timed road races in multiple distances that start and finish near the Music Concourse. The course runs past several park landmarks and along scenic California coastline sections.

The route passes the San Francisco Botanical Garden, Golden Gate Polo Fields, Murphy Windmill, Japanese Tea Garden, Huntington Falls, the Great Highway near Ocean Beach, the Bison Paddock, and the JFK Promenade. The races are professionally managed and chip timed, and participants receive free high resolution race photos after the finish.
Race registrations include a swag kit that features a full-zip fleece jacket and a finisher's medal, plus a commemorative race bib. The post-race party in Golden Gate Park includes music, vendors, hot chocolate, and a finisher's mug served with chocolate fondue and dippables.
A VIP upgrade called the Ghirardelli Cocoa Club provides an upgraded onsite area with premium Ghirardelli hot cocoa, a canvas tote with single serve cocoa, a $35 hot chocolate store credit for onsite use, VIP preferred corral placement, dedicated restrooms, heaters if needed, and an added hot breakfast option.
Packet pick-up and the expo are scheduled before race day; there is no race day packet pick-up. A packet mailing option is available for an additional fee with an advance deadline. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
