The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in San Francisco is scheduled for January 11, 2026, with start and finish at Golden Gate Park near the Music Concourse (55 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr, San Francisco, CA 94118). The event offers the following distances:

Finishers receive a commemorative medal and a finisher mug with chocolate fondue and hot chocolate. The event is professionally managed and the races are professionally timed. A post-race party at Golden Gate Park will include music, vendors, and on-site food and drink items.
Course, expo, awards and services
The course runs through Golden Gate Park and passes points of interest such as the San Francisco Botanical Garden, Golden Gate Polo Fields, Japanese Tea Garden, Huntington Falls, Murphy Windmill, the Great Highway near Ocean Beach, the Bison Paddock, and the JFK Promenade. Expo and packet pickup are at Sports Basement Presidio (610 Old Mason St, San Francisco) on Friday, January 9 (12:00 pm–7:00 pm) and Saturday, January 10 (10:00 am–5:00 pm). There is no race-day packet pickup; packet mailing is available for a fee ($20.95) and the packet-mailing deadline is December 14, 2025.
The event offers a Ghirardelli Cocoa Club upgrade with dedicated access, VIP corral placement, a shopping bag with single-serve cocoa, a $35 hot chocolate store credit, and upgraded onsite amenities. Free high-resolution photos and official race results will be emailed to participants; live runner tracking sign-up is available the week of the race.
Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance with prize amounts and registration benefits.
