Horsethief Canyon Trail Half Marathon

The course is an out and back on a dirt fire road. The route is mostly uphill to the turnaround and mostly downhill on the return, which creates an opportunity to run a negative split. The fire road is described as very wide and not very technical; footing is expected to be good in a variety of weather conditions. A volunteer will be stationed at the turnaround to verify participant numbers.
The race takes place on land used with permission from the U.S. Forest Service, and participants are asked to respect the course and surrounding lands. Parking is available at the race start at Horsethief Canyon Trailhead, Forest Rte 16S04, Alpine, CA 91901. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
