Event overview

The Noble Canyon Trail Races take place in Pine Valley, California on September 5, 2026. The event offers two distances:

  • 50K
  • 15K

Both courses start and finish at 8631 Pine Creek Road. The race is USATF-sanctioned and runs under a special permit on National Forest land. The USDA is listed as an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender.

Course and logistics

Both courses use the Noble Canyon Trail system in the Cleveland National Forest. The route is an out-and-back with rocky climbs, exposed ridgelines, fast descents, pine-forested sections, granite-studded slopes, and canyon switchbacks with views of the Laguna Mountains. The 50K has significant elevation gain; the 15K covers a shorter portion of the same terrain.

Multiple aid stations are located along the course and will provide hydration, electrolytes, and fueling options. Course volunteers support safety at highway crossings, shuttle supplies, and help runners stay on course. Race parking is available on-site and is directed by staff. On-course photography is provided by Moctezuma Photography, with one free race photo or a discount on purchases. Weather can vary across elevations, with possible heat in lower canyons and cooler, breezy conditions higher up. Runners should plan for trail-ready gear, hydration, and sun protection.

Volunteer roles include course marking, sweeping, aid station support, highway safety, and logistics. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
