Eastbound's Christmas in July 5K
Eastbound's Christmas in July 5K is the second annual community 5K held at Lindo Lake County Park in Lakeside, California. The event is presented by NXPT Fitness and is themed as Christmas in July; participants are encouraged to wear Santa gear. One hundred percent of this year's profits will be donated to Lakeside Union School District Student Support to benefit local students and families.
The event program includes competitive and family-focused runs: competitive races for men and women and family fun run categories for ages 2 to 8 and 8 years and older. Awards include medals and prize bags for the top three women's and men's competitive finishers, and the first competitive runner under 12 receives four tickets to an Omas Family Farm Recess event. An after party and brunch take place at Eastbound Bar & Grill.
Logistics note: the race address is Lindo Lake County Park, 9841 Vine St, Lakeside CA 92040. Pre-race bib pickup is available at Eastbound Bar and Grill (10053 Maine Ave, Lakeside CA) on July 22 and July 23 in the evening and on July 24 in the morning, with additional pickup at Lindo Lake Park Community Center on the day of the event.
