The Horseneck Half & 3.5 Miler is scheduled for Sun May 17, 2026 in Westport, MA at Horseneck Beach State Reservation, 5 John Reed Road. The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 3.5 Mile Run
The Half Marathon entry fee is listed at $100 and the 3.5 Mile Run at $45. Professional race timing is provided by Second Wind Timing. Race numbers and shirts may be picked up at Westport River Winery or at Horseneck State Beach on race day.
Course, support and awards
Both routes start and finish at DCR Horseneck Beach. The Half Marathon course features water views, rolling farm lands, and vineyards. The 3.5 Mile route follows a clockwise direction and includes multi-side ocean views from Gooseberry Island and about one mile along the ocean returning to Horseneck Beach.
Aid and post-race provisions include five water stops for the Half and one for the 3.5 Mile with Skratch Labs rehydration drink, free coffee at the start/finish, a Craft Sports tech race shirt, and a finishers medal for Half Marathon finishers only. The post-race area includes a hot meal from Bon Me, recovery drinks and snacks from listed partners, music, and a beer ticket for one Black Hat Brew Works beer for those 21 or older.
Awards include top three overall male and female finishers for each distance, age-group awards for specified brackets, and team prizes. Top three fastest teams are ranked by the combined time of their first three finishers. There is no rain date; race management may modify, shorten, or cancel the event for unsafe conditions, and no refunds are provided in the event of cancellation.
