Mattapoisett Santa Stampede
The Mattapoisett Santa Stampede is a community 5K run and walk held in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts on December 5, 2026. The course is a 3.1 mile loop that passes Ned's Point Lighthouse and follows the harbor, with the start and finish at Mattapoisett Town Wharf. Hundreds of participants wear complimentary five-piece Santa suits, which include a red coat, hat, and beard.
Santa suit options are provided in two sizes: Adult (one size fits all) and Youth (suggested for children 12 and under and under 5 feet tall). Suits are available to the first 500 adult registrations and the first 200 youth registrations, and the selected suit option cannot be changed after registration. The registration page will be updated once suit quantities are met.
The event raises funds to support people living with Multiple Sclerosis and organizations that fund MS research. The race date also marks the two year anniversary of the race director's MS diagnosis. Medals are awarded to the top three overall adult male and female finishers and to the top three male and female youth finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
