Event Overview
The Hops Trot Monmouth is a combined sports and social event located at Birdsmouth Beer in Oceanport, New Jersey. Participants travel through the historic grounds of the former Fort Monmouth base. The event features two primary distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Participants can choose to run or walk their selected distance. The routes are fully marked and secured, with medical support vehicles available. Fuel stations are positioned to provide morning refreshments, including coffee, fresh pastries, and snacks.
Post-Run Activities
After completing their distance, participants return to the brewery for a festival-style celebration. Every registered runner receives a finisher medal, a co-branded pint glass, and two craft beers or non-alcoholic beer options. The post-event area includes live music, food trucks, and various games.
A charity raffle takes place during the festivities, featuring over $3,000 in prizes, such as running gear and brewery tours. The event also serves as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Professional photographers are stationed throughout the course and the brewery to document the event. Registrants also receive a high-quality neoprene koozie and a collectible event bib.
