Hops & Huffs 5K - Cartecay River Brewing Co.
The Hops & Huffs 5K is a running and walking event held in East Ellijay, Georgia. Hosted by the Cartecay River Brewing Company, the event features a course that starts at a local park and finishes at the brewery. The route is described as flat and fast through the town of Ellijay. Participants are required to maintain a pace of at least 16 minutes per mile, with the goal of finishing in under one hour. Self-serve water stations are positioned approximately every 1.5 miles along the course.

All registered participants in the 5K who are 21 years of age or older receive one complimentary pour at the brewery after finishing. Participants registered by April 8 are guaranteed race swag in their requested size. The event also offers a virtual participation option where runners can complete their distance at a location of their choice and submit their times online to receive a package by mail.
Competitive awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers in several categories, including Overall, Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Senior Masters (60+). Furthermore, awards are given to the top three finishers in five-year age groups ranging from 10 and under to 75 and older.
