Hops & Huffs 5K - Cartecay River Brewing Co.
Hops & Huffs 5K is scheduled for April 18, 2026 in East Ellijay, Georgia, with the venue at Cartecay River Brewing Co. The event offers multiple participation options including an in-person 5K, a Sip & Stroll, and a Virtual 5K.
The course is described as flat and fast through Ellijay, with the route starting at the park and finishing at the brewery. Organizers provide a water station about halfway through the course and require participants to maintain roughly a 16 minute per mile pace to finish in under one hour. Registered in-person 5K participants who are 21 years or older receive one complimentary pour at the brewery after the race.
Awards are planned for competitive finishers: Top 3 overall male and female, Top 3 in Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Senior Masters (60+), plus Top 3 in five-year age groups from 10 & under through 75+. Virtual runners may complete the distance on their own route and submit a time by the end of race day; virtual packages are shipped the Monday after the event to addresses in the continental United States.
