The Hops & Huffs 5K takes place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in East Ellijay, GA at Cartecay River Brewing Co., 26 River Terrace #1A. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- Virtual 5K
The in-person course starts at the park and finishes at the brewery. All registered 5K participants receive one complimentary pour if they are 21 or older. A water station is located about halfway through the course.
Registration, course and awards
Regular registration rates end November 8, 2025: the in-person 5K is listed at $35 (option to skip the shirt saves $5) and the Virtual 5K at $35. Late registration and race-day pricing are listed at higher amounts; participants registered by November 6 are guaranteed race swag in their size. Participants are asked to maintain roughly a 16 minute per mile pace to finish within one hour.
Awards are given to the Top 3 Overall male and female finishers, Top 3 Masters (40+), Top 3 Grand Masters (50+), Top 3 Senior Masters (60+), and Top 3 in five-year age groups from 10 & under through 75+. Registrations are final with no refunds; the event is planned rain or shine. Virtual packages will be shipped the Monday after the event to addresses in the continental US.
