Event overview
The Hopewell Valley Vineyards Wine Run is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held at Hopewell Valley Vineyards in Pennington, New Jersey on May 9, 2026. The route tours the vineyard grounds and both starts and finishes at the winery. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online. Registration is open to ages 1–99.
Logistics and extras
Registration includes a Super Soft ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and one pour of wine for eligible participants. Packet pickup is race-day only and opens one hour before the event. A virtual participation option is available; participants can either pick up a packet and run on their own or request packet shipping for an additional fee.
The event offers 10-year age-group awards with custom awards for the top three male and female finishers in each category; awards must be collected on race day at the registration table. The winery will offer pizza and light fare for purchase, and live music is scheduled during the event. The local charity partner is PALS (Pennington Adult Living Services), an organization that supports job opportunities and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
