Event overview

Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST 2026 takes place on May 9, 2026 at Central High School Football Stadium, 5400 N 1st Ave, Evansville, IN 47710. The event program includes a 5K run/walk, a separate community walk, and a Survivor's Parade to honor cancer survivors. Additional features listed for the day include a cruise-in car show, food trucks and community partners, and kids activities such as face painting and inflatables. Walkers are welcome and pets are not allowed.

Registration, awards and logistics

Registration for the 5K and walk opens January 12, 2026. Posted entry fees are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the walk; the Survivor's Parade is free. Registration includes a short-sleeve cotton t-shirt for 5K, 1-mile and Survivor Parade participants; children aged 3 and under may participate free in the walk but do not receive a t-shirt. Awards include a $100 cash prize for overall male and female, plus age-group awards for the top three male and female in standard age brackets. Packet pickup is listed at the Chemo Buddies office, 3700 Bellemeade Ave, Suite 118, with the pickup date to be determined. Event timing is by Rise Up and Run.
