Rotary Santa Run 5K, 1 Mile Family Walk and Santa Elf Kids Run
The event takes place on December 5, 2026 at the Buffalo Trace Council Eykamp Scout Center, 3501 E. Lloyd Expressway, Evansville, IN. The 5K course travels west to Vann Avenue and winds through east-side residential neighborhoods; the course is described as relatively flat. The 1 mile walk leads participants over a pedestrian bridge and returns to the start area on a route separate from the running course.

- 1 Mile Family Walk
- 50 to 150 meters Santa Elf Kids Run by age group
The kids run is organized by age: 1-3 years 50 meters, 4-6 years 100 meters, and 7-9 years 150 meters. All kids run finishers receive a medal. The 5K awards include trophies for overall fastest male and female and medals for first place in multiple age groups. Five Most Spirited awards will be given for categories such as Families, Teams, Kids, Young Adults and Adults.
Registration details include a special $25 early period from July 1 to July 26, a child rate of $5 for the kids run, and an increased fee after December 1. Registered participants receive a five piece Santa suit while supplies last and packet pickup is available at the Buffalo Trace Council lobby. Parking is available in marked lots on Buffalo Trace Council property and State Hospital property. Dogs and similar animals, skates, skateboards and scooters are not allowed in any race.
