2026 BAM FI 'Hope Without Boundaries' 5K Run/Walk
The Hope Without Boundaries 5K Run/Walk is an annual event held at the National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Organized by the Black & Missing Foundation, Inc. (BAMFI), the event serves to raise awareness for missing persons of color and provide resources for their families. The course is situated along the Potomac River waterfront, taking participants across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
The event offers two main participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk: A physical race at National Harbor featuring a varied course with average terrain, including some gravel surfaces and slight inclines.
- Satellite 5K: A virtual option where participants can complete the distance in their own communities between May 23 and May 30.
Participants in the in-person event receive chip timing provided by Charm City Run, an official race t-shirt, a goodie bag, and free race photos. Water stations are located at the start area, along the route, and at the finish line. All finishers receive a commemorative medal upon crossing the finish line. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in adult, teen, and child categories.
The venue at National Harbor is accessible via major highways including I-495, I-95, and I-295. Public transportation is available via the WMATA NH1 and NH2 lines. On-site facilities include public restrooms near The Plaza and paid parking at the Mariner Garage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
