The 2026 BAM FI "Hope Without Boundaries" 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026 at National Harbor - The Plaza Stage in Oxon Hill, MD (153 National Plaza, Oxon Hill, MD 20745). The event includes in-person and satellite (virtual) options.

The course is described as varied with average terrain, some gravel surfaces, and a slight incline. Timing will use disposable chips attached to the back of race bibs, with chip timing provided by Charm City Run.
Logistics, amenities and awards
Packet pickup is available at early packet pickup dates on May 16 and May 17, 2026 (locations to be determined), and on race day at National Harbor. Packets mailed only for Satellite 5K registrants; mailed packets are scheduled for May 22–27, 2026. All participants receive race entry, a race t-shirt, a goodie bag, chip timing, free race photos, snacks, water, and instant results on-site and online. Water stations will be located in the kick-off/exhibit area, along the route, and at the finish. Public restrooms are available near The Plaza.
Awards will be given to the top male and female in three age groups: Adult (18+), Teen (13-17), and Child (12 and under). All 5K finishers will receive an official finisher medal.
Charity and registration
The event is organized by the Black and Missing Foundation, Inc (BAMFI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on awareness of missing persons of color and family support. Proceeds will fund family support, flyer distribution, victim recovery, burial assistance, and related services. Registration pricing includes early-bird, regular, and late tiers; special pricing applies to the first 50 registrants for both in-person and satellite options. Transportation access to National Harbor is available via nearby major roads and WMATA NH1 and NH2 lines; parking garage fees may apply.
