Hope in the Foothills 5K Walk/Run and Awareness Day
Hope in the Foothills is a community 5K walk and run held in Pickens, South Carolina, focused on fentanyl awareness through prevention, education, and recovery support. The course is held on the road with the start and finish in the same area at Doodle Park and Doodle Trail. Police officers will be positioned along the route to assist with participant and traffic direction. Restroom facilities are available at the Doodle Trail.
Local resource groups will be on site to provide educational materials and support services. Free Narcan and other educational resources will be available, and organizations will offer information and giveaways throughout the event. An event shirt, the Hope in the Foothills Purple Ribbon Run shirt, can be purchased in advance; quantities are limited.
Parking at the Doodle Trail is limited. The event is organized by Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Registration is offered without a fee. The event brings together local organizations and community members to share information about prevention, recovery resources, and support available in the area.
