About the race
The Murder Mile is a challenging uphill road race held in Silsden, starting by the bridge at the bottom of Brunthwaite Lane. Covering a distance of one mile with an elevation gain of approximately 485 to 600 feet, the course steadily climbs with little respite until the finish near Light Bank Lane. This event attracts several hundred runners annually, offering a fun yet demanding experience.
It welcomes participants from juniors (minimum age 6) to seniors, with various age category prizes.
