Heatwave Half Marathon - Grand Rapids
The Heatwave Half Marathon takes place in Caledonia at Caledonia High School. This summer event features several road racing options for different age groups and abilities, including a Half Marathon, a Half Marathon Relay, a 10K, and a 5K. Participants in these distances receive chip-timing with live results and eligibility for awards.
Additional participation options include:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon or Relay)
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile (Untimed)
- 50m (Kids Dash for ages 10 and under)
The 1 Mile and the Kids Dash are untimed events. Children aged 10 and under participating in the dash receive a mini bib and a specific medal. For the Half Marathon Relay, participants must register individually to form a team. A virtual race option is available for those who prefer to complete their chosen distance at a different location while still receiving event materials.
Registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To guarantee a shirt size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before the event.
