Michigan Spartan Event Weekend
The Michigan Spartan Event Weekend takes place at the Cannonsburg Ski Area in Belmont, Michigan, approximately 20 minutes from Grand Rapids. This venue serves as the highest vertical ski resort in southwestern Michigan, featuring a landscape of steep climbs, descents, and grit sand pits. The course utilizes over 11 miles of rugged terrain, including a mix of scenic trails, bridges, rolling hills, and water crossings.
Participants can select from several distance options and obstacle counts held across the weekend:
- Sprint 5K: A 5 km course featuring 20 obstacles.
- Super 10K: A 10 km course featuring 25 obstacles.
- Kids Race: Distances ranging from 1 to 3 km with age-appropriate obstacles.
The event location is accessible from major regional cities including Chicago, Detroit, and Milwaukee. Spectator access is available for those who wish to view the races from the sidelines.
