Grand Rapids Spartan Race - July 18-19, 2026
The event is the 2026 Michigan Spartan Event Weekend at Cannonsburg Ski Area, Belmont, Michigan, about 20 minutes from Grand Rapids. The site features trails, bridges, rolling hills, water crossings, steep climbs and descents, sand pits, and over 11 miles of rugged terrain. Course maps are subject to change depending on conditions. The event is marketed for Sprint, Super, and Kids Race distances.

Obstacles listed for the event include Atlas Carry (100 lb / 45 kg stone for men, 75 lb / 35 kg for women), A-Frame Cargo, Barbed Wire Crawl, Fire Jump, Inverted Wall, Bucket Carry, Hercules Hoist, Multi-Rig, Rope Climb (16 ft / 4.8 m), Sandbag Carry (60 lb / 27 kg men, 40 lb / 18 kg women), Slip Wall, Spear Throw (target 25 ft / 7.6 m), and walls from 4 to 8 feet. Sprint participants receive a finisher medal and finisher tee; completing Super and Beast in the same year awards a Trifecta medal. The event includes a festival area with music and refreshments.
