2026 Michigan Spartan Event Weekend - Cannonsburg Ski Area
The event takes place July 18-19, 2026 at Cannonsburg Ski Area in Belmont, Michigan, about 20 minutes from Grand Rapids. The venue is accessible from Chicago, Detroit, and Milwaukee and is described as a scenic, rugged mountain setting with varied terrain.
The course uses the ski area and surrounding trails and covers more than 11 miles of rugged terrain across the weekend. Features include trails, bridges, rolling hills, water crossings, sand pits, steep climbs and challenging descents at what is described as the highest vertical ski resort in southwestern Michigan. Course maps are subject to change depending on conditions.
Multiple race options are offered over the weekend:
- Sprint : 5 km with 20 obstacles
- Super : 10 km with 25 obstacles
- Kids Race : 1–3 km with obstacles
- Spectator access available
