About the race
The Home Run 5K is an annual running event held at the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home in Middlesex, North Carolina. The 5K course starts and ends on the Children’s Home campus, winding through the grounds and surrounding farmland with several small hills. This race supports youth programs including foster care and independent living.
Registration is $30 in advance and $40 on race day, with group discounts available. Participants registering by April 15 receive a commemorative short sleeve t-shirt. Awards are given to top overall finishers and age group winners, as well as the largest registered group.
Strollers are welcome, but pets, bicycles, and skateboards are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
