Holy Trail Ultras : 15 May 2027
The Holy Trail Ultras is a trail running festival on 15 May 2027 that offers multiple distance events across East Anglia, all finishing at Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad.
- 50 Mile Ultra : starts and finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad.
- 50 km Ultra : starts at Holton Village Hall, finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park.
- Trail Marathon : starts at Walberswick Village Hall, finishes at Nicholas Everitt Park.
Routes use established footpaths and coastal trails, including the Via Beata, Angles Way, East Suffolk Lines Walk, Sandlings Walk and the Suffolk Coast Path. The courses cross marshland and coastal sections and pass notable points such as Blythburgh and Southwold, with beach running around Pakefield and sections along promenades into Lowestoft.
Each race lists specific checkpoints along the route, including Beccles Quay, Holton Village Hall, The White Hart Pub Blythburgh, Walberswick Village Hall, Covehithe (waterpoint only) and the Sailor's Home Pub Kessingland. Crew and supporters are permitted at checkpoints with a request to park considerately.
Registration takes place at the event-specific village halls and the pavilion at Nicholas Everitt Park; several start locations are within walking distance of local railway stations and there is parking at or near the registration venues. Time allowances are specified for each race and GPX files, a mandatory kit list and a race brief are provided for competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
