10th Annual Holly Springs Half Marathon, 10k & 5k
The Holly Springs Half Marathon takes place in North Carolina, starting and finishing at Ting Park within the North Main Athletic Complex. The event features multiple distance options and categories for participants:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10k
- 5k
- Ruck - Half Marathon
- Ruck - 10k
- Ruck - 5k
The courses consist of varying terrain, including rolling hills, flat sections, neighborhood roads, and paved greenways. All participants begin just outside the stadium with a downhill start toward North Main Street. After the first mile through the hills of Anchor Creek, the routes enter the Middle Creek Greenway.
The Half Marathon course travels south through several residential neighborhoods, the local historic district, and Womble Park before returning to the greenway for a five-mile section. The 10k and 5k routes utilize the Middle Creek Greenway with specific turnaround points at Sunset Lake Road and near the Wood Creek development. For the Half Marathon rucking category, a course cutoff time of 3 hours and 30 minutes is in effect.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall in each distance. Additionally, age group awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers in brackets ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
