About the race
The 10th Annual Holly Springs event offers running and ruck options over multiple distances at Ting Park in Holly Springs, North Carolina. The event includes both running races and ruck (walking with pack) entries using town streets and the Middle Creek Greenway.
Course details:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
All races begin at the North Main Athletic Complex near the Ting Park stadium and follow a route that moves onto Sportsmanship Way and N. Main St., then into the rolling hills of Anchor Creek and the Middle Creek Greenway. The Half Marathon continues south through neighborhoods including Bridgewater, Windcrest and Sunset Ridge, passes Veterans Park, Jones Park and the historic district, and includes a figure-eight loop in Womble Park before approximately mile 7.2. The middle portion of the half follows several miles of greenway with turn-arounds before returning along Anchor Creek Way to the finish.
The 10K and 5K enter the Middle Creek Greenway early on; the 10K uses a hairpin turn and a turn-around near the Wood Creek area, while the 5K turns at Sunset Lake before returning to Anchor Creek Way for the final approach.
