HoliTrot Fall Festival Trail Run
The event takes place on October 11, 2026 at HoliMont in Ellicottville, New York. It features trail races on the mountain while foliage is at peak color and includes family-friendly elements and postrace food and drink.
Both races begin with a ride up the Exhibition Lift to the top of the mountain, followed by a downhill route. The course includes rocky patches and some uneven footing; trail shoes are recommended. Views across the valley are a noted feature of the route.
Distances
- 5K across the top, then downhill on HoliMont mountain bike trails
- Kids Race about one mile around Saddle Pond
Registration runs August 24 through October 10, 2026 for advance pricing. Advance fees: Kids Race (10 and under) $20, 5K Run (11 and up) $40. Race day fees on October 11, 2026 are $25 for the Kids Race and $50 for the 5K. T-shirts are available to runners who register before September 28, 2026.
The event adds a costume contest with awards for best adult, best kid, and best team. Competitive awards include top three overall by gender and a Top Team award for teams of six or more. At the finish, each runner receives a race tee; beer, cider, and soup are available from Dina's at the Mont. Spectators may ride the lift free of charge and the summit provides elevated views of the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
