About the race
The Holiday Hustle in downtown Dexter, Michigan is a multi-distance winter running event that routes runners through downtown Dexter and finishes at Erratic Ale Co. Distances offered include:
- 13.1 miles (half marathon) and relay
- 5K
- 1 mile
Packet pickup is handled at Erratic Ale Co., Fleet Feet Ann Arbor West in Ann Arbor, and Destination Cyclery in Dexter on the days before and on race day. The half marathon course has a four hour time limit; participants must reach Aid B (5.25 miles) by the race cutoff or will be returned to Dexter.
Aid stations on the half marathon course provide water, Gatorade, and GU at miles 2, 5, 8, and 11.5. Portable toilets are located near miles 2, 6, 8, and 11.5. Volunteer pacers from Next Level Running Club will support even pacing, with listed target paces available for several finish times.
The relay is split into two legs of 7.4 miles and 5.7 miles; the second runner stages at Hudson Mills Metro Park (parking pass required) and teams can finish together through the chute. The event supports local Dexter charities with a portion of 5K and 1 mile entry fees, and encourages donations of canned food for Faith in Action with raffle entries for donated items.
Post-race amenities include a beer garden at Erratic Ale Co. and finisher medals for all distances. Awards recognize overall and age-group placings and relay team standings.
