Second Annual South Lyon Huffin' for the Stuffin'
The event is a community 5K fun run and walk benefiting the Blessings in a Backpack South Lyon program, a neighbor-helping-neighbor initiative that provides weekend and summer food to children in the South Lyon Community School District.
The course uses portions of the middle school track, sidewalks, and a paved trail that runs through neighborhoods, parks, and wooded areas. The entire course is on paved or other hard surfaces. Pets are not permitted this year.
Registration opens September 14 and closes October 31. The listed registration fee is $35. T-shirts are not guaranteed for participants who register after November 13.
Sponsorship opportunities are available with different levels and benefits. Publicized levels include Bronze at $100, Silver at $200, Gold at $500, Medal at $700, and Bib at $600; sponsor benefits reference shirt logos, signage, social media acknowledgement, and inclusion in an event sponsor video. Combined sponsorship packages that include a separate golf outing are offered at reduced combined prices for certain pairings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
