About the race
Fantasy 5K takes place on November 27, 2026, in downtown Howell, Michigan. The event uses the First Presbyterian Church of Howell at 323 W. Grand River Ave as the race start and finish and as the packet pick-up and race-day registration location.

- 1 Mile Run/Walk
Packet pick-up and on-site registration are available at the church starting at 12:00 PM, with on-site registration open as spots allow until 5:30 PM. Pre-registration opens June 29, 2026 and closes October 16, 2026; the listed registration fee is $30. Registered participants receive a commemorative long sleeve cotton T-shirt and a race bib; a bib is required to participate. All finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal and a slice of Hungry Howie's pizza at the finish line.
The 5K course runs along Grand River Avenue in historic downtown Howell and takes place before the Fantasy of Lights parade. The 1 Mile Run/Walk follows the same route shortened to the one mile distance. Results and timing are published after the event. Awards for the 5K are presented to the top 3 Overall, top 3 Masters, and top 3 Grandmasters runners for each gender; award pick-up is behind the church as soon as results are available.
