Event Overview
The Ann Arbor Turkey Trot is a festive holiday tradition held on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. The event starts at the intersection of E. Liberty and Fourth Ave., taking participants on a tour of the city's downtown area. This event focuses on a welcoming atmosphere where participants can pursue personal goals or take part in a holiday activity with others before their seasonal celebrations.

Course Details and Logistics
The course features one aid station for the 5 km distance providing water. Strollers are permitted on the course, provided they line up at the back of the starting corral, but pets are not allowed for safety reasons. Race day parking is free of charge at several nearby structures, including Maynard, Washington, Ashley, and Fifth Ave.
Post-Race and Awards
The finish line area offers hot chocolate and cookies, along with photo opportunities with holiday characters. Competitive awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the 5 km, as well as the top three in various five-year age groups based on chip time. The event also features theme-based awards for participants, including recognitions for holiday costumes, group costumes, and sweaters.
