Ann Arbor Turkey Trot
The Ann Arbor Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This holiday event features two distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K (timed race)
- 1K Tot Trot (non-timed fun run)
The 5K event includes chip timing and official results for all participants, making them eligible for awards. The 1K Tot Trot is designed for children. All participants receive a finisher's medal upon completing their respective distances.
The event features several holiday-themed activities and amenities. Turkey Tom and Santa are available for photos during the morning. At the finish line, cookies and hot chocolate are provided to those who complete the course. Participants often wear costumes while running or walking the route.
A portion of every entry fee is donated to the ChadTough Foundation. In addition to the standard entry, participants have the option to make extra donations toward this cause during the registration process or select optional add-on items. The event is supported by various local partners, including Fleet Feet, Absopure, and the Bank of Ann Arbor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
