3rd Annual Holiday 5K and 2K Pup Strut
The Holiday 5K and 2K Pup Strut returns for its third year at a new location on Sylvan Way in Parsippany. This community event combines movement and holiday cheer, offering two distinct distances for participants and their pets:
- 5K Run: A flat course designed for running, jogging, or walking.
- 2K Pup Strut: A short, relaxed distance specifically for participants walking with their dogs.
The event is held at the Parsippany Hilton and takes place rain, snow, or shine. It is a non-timed event, focusing on participation rather than competitive awards. Every finisher of the 5K event receives a commemorative medal and a fresh donut. Dogs participating in the 2K Pup Strut receive a special treat at the finish line.
Water is provided by Culligan Water at the finish area, though there are no water stops located directly on the course. Participants are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Dover Toys for Tots program.
T-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for those who complete their registration by November 9. Early packet pick-up is available several days before the race at a local shop in Whippany, with race-day check-in also provided. Individuals completing the 5 Race Challenge can collect their specific challenge medals at the MegaBite tent during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
