Hitchin Town Centre 5K 2026
The Hitchin Town Centre 5K takes place on 27 September 2026 and marks the event's tenth anniversary. The race is organised by Burnt Hare Events and operates as a charity fundraising event with surplus shared between nominated charities.
Entries are online only and available until the morning of the event. Race bibs include an integrated timing chip and are allocated at the registration desk. Electronic timing and online live results are provided, and a downloadable finisher certificate is available.
The event includes an event village with food and drink stalls, baggage drop, and toilets at Race HQ. High quality T shirts will be available to purchase while stocks last. Finishers receive a race medal and there is an awards ceremony.
On course provisions include drink stations on course and at the finish, medical cover at start, finish and on course, signposted mile markers and marshals for course safety. A transfer policy allows participants to transfer their place to another runner prior to the race; deferral and refund rules are restricted, with a specific pregnancy and postpartum concession allowing deferral to one of the following three years or a full refund.
