Hinz Could Fly 5K
The event takes place on September 12, 2026 at East Jackson Community Schools in Jackson, Michigan. It includes in-person and virtual options and features timed 5K competition and a kids fun run.

Registration is online only and follows published fee tiers through the season, with lower fees earlier in the year and higher fees closer to the event. Tech-style shirts are offered; shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by 8/31/26 and available afterward while supplies last.
Race results will be timed and published. Overall awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in Open, Masters (40+), and Grandmasters (50+) categories for the 5K run and walk. Age-group awards are also planned for both the 5K run and the 5K walk, with multiple age brackets for each.
Proceeds benefit a memorial scholarship associated with the event. Packet pickup is handled at the East Jackson Community School Auditorium. Volunteer opportunities are available and community service hours can be earned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
