Hills From Hell : Ketchikan, Alaska
Hills From Hell is a road running event held on May 16, 2026, in Ketchikan, Alaska. The course covers approximately 6 miles and begins at Alder Park on Bryant Street. Registration fee is $15.
The route follows local streets and stairways. Runners proceed from Bryant Street to Buren Avenue and Fairview Avenue, then continue to Jackson Street and use the stairs to reach Tongass Avenue. The course then takes 2nd Avenue to White Cliff Avenue and returns to Tongass Avenue. Participants follow Tongass Avenue to the Elliott Street stairs, climb to Water Street, and continue onto the Schoenbar bypass. From the bypass the route follows Schoenbar Road onto Park Avenue as it becomes Deermount Street, then up Ketchikan Lakes Road and Nordstrom Drive to a turnaround cone near the landfill.
After the turnaround the route retraces Deermount and Park Avenue, then continues down Park Avenue, turns right onto Bawden Street, then right onto Pine Street and left onto Forest Avenue before descending to the finish. The finish line is located at the top of the Schoenbar bypass.
