Hills From Hell, Ketchikan
Hills From Hell takes place on May 16, 2026 in Ketchikan, Alaska. The event assembles at Alder Park, 143 Bryant St, and charges a registration fee of $15 plus processing. The listed course distance is 6 miles.
The course starts at Alder Park on Bryant Street and follows a loop through city streets and stairways. The route runs up Bryant to Buren Avenue, continues to Fairview Avenue and Jackson Street, then uses stairs to reach Tongass Avenue. It proceeds via 2nd Avenue and White Cliff Avenue back to Tongass Avenue, then follows Elliott Street stairs up to Water Street and on to the Schoenbar bypass. The route continues along Schoenbar Road onto Park Avenue which becomes Deermount Street, then climbs toward Ketchikan Lakes Road / Nordstrom Drive where participants turn at a cone and retrace part of the route. The course continues down Park Avenue, onto Bawden Street, Pine Street and Forest Avenue before returning down the hill to the finish.
The finish line is at the top of Schoenbar Bypass. Due to construction on Tongass Avenue, the route may be modified; updates will be posted on the event RunSignup page and on social media. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
